Ashram Guidelines

Please read these guidelines before booking your stay at Parmarth Niketan.

This ashram is open for the stay of only those pilgrims who are here to devote themselves to sadhana, meditation, seva and satsang.

Dress Code

Men and women should wear clothing that covers shoulders, midriff, and calves. No sleeveless shirts, no shorts, no short dresses. Yoga students are expected to wear white. Shoes must be removed before entering buildings and sacred places.

Conduct

  • All pilgrims are expected to join the Ganga Aarti each evening at sunset.
  • No strangers or persons not on the admission form are allowed in rooms.
  • Rooms must always be kept clean and tidy.
  • No playing cards, radios, or TVs.
  • No pets allowed.

Strictly Prohibited

  • Smoking and drinking intoxicants
  • Using drugs
  • Eating eggs or non-vegetarian foods
  • Eating onions and garlic
  • Playing cards or cassette players loudly

Silence Hours

Silence is appreciated at the Ashram from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in time: 12:00 PM
  • Check-out time: 11:00 AM
  • Each pilgrim will have to vacate accommodation on the stipulated day, even before the management asks them to do so.

ID Requirements

A valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID) is required at check-in for all guests. Foreign nationals must present their passport.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in. Please contact us directly for late cancellations or changes.
